THE G-WORD

Jacob Kimwall is not only a graffiti writer. He is also one of the rare Ph.D student that has choosen to study graffiti inside the academic world. It's something very important, especially if you consider that most of the professors hate graffiti culture more than Vandal Squad chiefs (I hope that someone would explain me this strange relationship between graffiti and the academic world sooner or later...).

Nevertheless, we would like to share with you the news that Jacob Kimwall will discuss his PhD dissertation December 5th at Stockholms Universitet. The title of his dissertation is THE G-WORD: virtuosity and violation, negotiating and transforming graffitiWe know that you wont probably be able to attend this event. Don't worry! Jacob Kimwall was also part of the Swedish graffiti magazine, Underground Production, and he has already decided to publish his dissertation with Dokument Press, a Swedish publishing house linked with this magazine.
